We develop society

The next five years will be crucial to the development of Southern Sudanese society. Government institutions need to be established. Civil society needs to be developed. People need to be trained. By providing training to individuals working in organisations and institutions, Skills will play a critical role in developing society.

Over the next five years, we have four objectives:

To develop and build the human resource capacity of government, especially at the State and other local levels
To develop and build the human resource capacity of civil society
To develop links between community needs and policy development at national and international levels
To phase out the individual employment work we have developed, in order to focus our attention on institutional development

Over the last decade we have:

Trained over 315 central government officials and over 230 local government officials
Developed good governance principles for the Government of Southern Sudan
Developed governance and parliamentary practices and procedures
Published a report about human resources policy issues
